§ Fellowship

A private fellowship by invitation only.

Membership in the Chamber is offered on the basis of achievement, character and contribution. There are four grades of Fellow, each with its own pathway, obligations and privileges.

GRADE 01by invitation

Founding Fellow

The first cohort. Invited during the founding season to adopt the Framework and steward the early life of the Chamber.

GRADE 02by invitation

Ordinary Fellow

Distinguished lawyers, judges, academics and public servants admitted by invitation on the recommendation of the Membership Committee.

GRADE 03by invitation

Associate Fellow

Early-career lawyers, judicial clerks and legal academics of exceptional promise, admitted for continuing development.

GRADE 04by invitation

Honorary Fellow

Persons of eminent public standing whose service to law and country the Chamber wishes to recognise.

The Code of Honour

Every Fellow subscribes, upon admission, to a covenant of conduct.

Uphold the dignity of the law and the traditions of the profession.

Act with integrity, independence and moral courage in public life.

Guard the Chamber's independence from partisan and commercial capture.

Honour the confidentiality of Council, committee and pro bono work.

Contribute to scholarship, mentorship and pro bono service.

Respect the collegiality of the fellowship in speech and conduct.
